GLASGOW
Glasgow is rougher than Edinburgh and can get a bad reputation, but I always loved the days I spent there. It’s bursting with art and shops.
To Drink
Caffeinated
Grain and Grind Battlefield
Delicious and cozy!
Black Pine Coffee Co.
Another personal favourite—divine coffee, vegan cinnamon rolls, sourdough donuts, and sandwiches made on local bagels. Very small, with limited seating, but a beautiful spot. The cinnamon buns sell out early so make sure you don’t sleep in! It will be worth it, I promise.
Kaf Coffee
Delicious coffee and baked good—I still dream of the ginger loaf I had there!
To Eat
Tantrum Donuts
Fresh and local; new types daily.
Potbelly
Biscuits and brunch! We got one sweet and one savoury, both were delicious but the biscuits above were the clear winner, in my opinion.
Paesano Pizza
A local Glasgow pizzeria.
To See & Do
Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum
A beautiful art gallery.
Glasgow Botanic Gardens
Beautiful gardens and stunning greenhouses.
Glasgow Street Art
Glasgow is full of beautiful street art. I did the Glasgow.
Hidden Lane
A wee lane of local artistic shops.
The Lighthouse
A free viewpoint to see the city; a must-do.
The Christmas Market
Small and underwhelming; don’t make a special trip for this one—stick to Edinburgh.
To Shop
Aume
A delightful homewears store.
Starry Starry Night
Vintage clothing store.
Buchanan Street
The main shopping street in Glasgow (complete with Skye Candles).
