BRISTOL

Bristol! Bath’s younger, hipper cousin. Bristol is where the younger demographic of the southwest goes—with it’s street art, live music scene, and craft brewery trails. My friends and I spent many Friday nights (and Saturday days) going from brewery to brewery. Another walkable city, give yourself time to wander the streets to take in the beautiful street art and bustling vibe of this port-city.

To Drink

Caffeinated

Albatross Cafe

I started my 23rd birthday with brunch here and have no regrets. The interior is delightful and the food is scrumptious.

Pinkmans Cafe

And I ended the Bristollian portion of my 23rd birthday with a sourdough donut from here. Homemade, of course, their flavours change daily. All the food is worth the stop.

Little Victories

Right near the train station, this spot is ideal for a coffee at the beginning of the day

Boozy

Moor Beer Co.

A nice wee brewery.

Wiper & True Tap Room

My favourite Bristol brewery and tap room!

Left Handed Giant Brewpub

Another delicious one.

To Eat

Bakers and Co

One of my favourite brunch spots. I still think of the caramel brownie I had after brunch.

Swoon Gelato

A Bristolian gelateria that really is swoon-worthy.

To See & Do

Clifton Suspension Bridge

Iconic Bristol and well worth the climb, to reach it and so you can see it emerge. There's a museum on one side (free! and small) and also you can pay to climb into through an excavated cave to go down into the cliff to an observation point. It’s quite interesting to see and doesn't take long

York Crescent

My favourite in Bristol (apparently I have a thing for crescents). Walk up via York Crescent to reach the bridge.

Bristol Museum & Art Gallery

I didn’t find this museum to be especially great—but it could be worth a nosey! They had a few interesting rotating exhibits that I popped into throughout my time in the Southwest. It’s free and right across from Pinkmans!

M Shed

I haven't been sadly but it has my museum friend’s endorsement which is good enough for me.

Bedminster

The place to walk to see the street art. Go wander and take it all in!

Bristol Cathedral

Bath's is better, in my opinion! I wouldn't make a specific trip.

To Shop

Papersmiths

The stationary store of my DREAMS. Must pop in for a browse.

Stokes Croft & Gloucester Road

The cool shopping area of Bristol!

The Clifton Arcade

Some nice wee shops inside.

Illustrate

This spot has some cool prints! I've just seen it on Insta but looks dreamy.
